Privacy Policy
This page explains what this website collects, why, and what you can do about it. It is deliberately short, because the site itself is simple: it collects very little.
Who is responsible
The data controller for this website is Release the Fire Ministries.
For any question about your data, or to exercise any of the rights below, write to info@releasethefire.pt.
Analytics - only if you say yes
We use Google Analytics to see how many people visit and which parts of the site they read. It tells us whether this work is reaching anyone; it is not used to build a profile of you or to advertise to you.
Nothing is loaded until you accept. Until you choose, and if you decline, your browser never contacts Google at all - no script, no cookie, no request. This is not the usual arrangement, where a banner appears after the tracking has already started.
If you accept, Google Analytics stores two cookies (_ga and
_ga_…) for up to two years, and receives your IP address,
approximate location, device and browser, and the pages you open. Google acts
as our processor and may handle this data outside the European Union.
You can change your mind at any time using the Cookies link at the bottom of any page. Declining there also deletes the analytics cookies that are already in your browser.
The video
The message is hosted by Bunny.net and shown through their player. That player loads whether or not you accept analytics, which means Bunny receives your IP address and browser details in order to send you the video. Without that, the video could not play.
We do not receive anything from Bunny about you individually.
What the site stores in your browser
eoe_lang- remembers whether you chose English or Portuguese, for one year. Strictly necessary for the site to work as you asked, so it does not require consent.eoe_consent- remembers your answer to the cookie banner, so it does not ask again. Stored on your device only; it is never sent to us._ga,_ga_…- Google Analytics, and only if you accepted.
Server logs
Our web server keeps standard access logs - IP address, time, page requested, browser - for a short period. These exist to keep the site running and to deal with abuse or attacks. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in the security of the site.
What we do not do
There is no contact form, no newsletter, no account to create, and no donation processing on this site. We do not sell or share data with anyone for marketing, and we do not use advertising or social media tracking pixels.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you may ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how it is used, or withdraw a consent you gave earlier. Withdrawing consent for analytics takes one click on the Cookies link, and takes effect immediately.
If you believe your data has been mishandled, you can complain to your national data protection authority. In Portugal that is the CNPD (cnpd.pt).
